Floral Designer/Customer Service

Overview
We are seeking a creative and passionate Florist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in floral design and retail sales, with the ability to create beautiful arrangements that meet customer needs. This role involves working closely with customers to understand their preferences, managing inventory, and maintaining a visually appealing store environment. A flair for e-commerce is a plus, as we aim to expand our online presence.

Duties

• Design and create floral arrangements for various occasions, including weddings, birthdays, and corporate events.
• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting clients in selecting flowers and arrangements that suit their needs.
• Manage inventory by tracking stock levels, ordering supplies, and ensuring freshness of all floral products.
• Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems for processing transactions efficiently.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the shop and display areas to enhance the shopping experience.
• Collaborate with team members on special projects or events that require floral contributions.
• Engage in retail sales activities to promote products and services effectively.
• Assist with landscape maintenance and lawn care tasks as needed.

Skills

• Proficient in floral design techniques and principles with a keen eye for aesthetics.
• Experience in e-commerce platforms to support online sales initiatives is highly desirable.
• Strong retail sales skills with the ability to upsell products effectively.
• Familiarity with POS systems for efficient transaction processing.
• Multilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse clientele.
• Knowledge of stock management practices to ensure product availability and quality.
• Experience in landscape maintenance and lawn care is beneficial but not required.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
