Floral Designer

Overview
We are seeking a creative and passionate Floral Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in floral design, horticulture, and customer service, with the ability to create stunning arrangements that meet our clients' needs. This role requires excellent communication skills and a flair for merchandising to enhance the shopping experience in our retail environment.

Duties

• Design and create floral arrangements for various occasions, including weddings, events, and everyday celebrations.
• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting clients with their floral selections and offering expert advice on care and maintenance.
• Maintain the floral department by ensuring all products are fresh, well-stocked, and presented attractively.
• Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems while adhering to cash handling procedures.
• Collaborate with team members to manage inventory, including stocking supplies and performing regular maintenance on plants and flowers.
• Utilize retail math skills to assist in pricing, sales reporting, and inventory management.
• Engage in merchandising efforts to display floral products effectively and attractively within the store.

Experience

• Proven experience in floral design or a related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of horticulture, gardening, lawn care, and landscape maintenance is a plus.
• Familiarity with e-commerce platforms for online sales is advantageous.
• Multilingual abilities are welcomed to better serve our diverse clientele.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in both design work and inventory management.
• Prior experience in retail sales or cashiering roles is beneficial.

Job Type: Part-time

Base Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
