About Us

Amlings Interior Landscape is a boutique interior-landscape and floral-arrangement company specializing in modern, minimalist arrangements for corporate and commercial properties. Each week we produce 30-40 high-impact floral installations—predominantly for reception desks in Class A office buildings and upscale hotel lobbies. Our aesthetic emphasizes height and width through green foliage, sculptural branches, and minimalist vessels rather than traditional florist “event style” bouquets.

Role Overview

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Floral Designer to join our team and take responsibility for our weekly floral program. Unlike traditional event floristry, this role involves steady, predictable weekly work, rather than high-stress weekend or after-hours events—which makes it a great fit for a floral designer looking for more balance.

You will work out of our warehouse/greenhouse-style production space and be responsible for sourcing and preparing fresh cut materials, designing, packing, and coordinating the installation of arrangements with our operations team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan each week’s floral arrangements: select vessels/vases, choose accent elements (branches, foliage) and order the flowers/materials within a specified budget and to meet the height/width specs of each arrangement.
  • Process incoming flowers: receive stems and prepare them to be stored in the cooler.
  • Create custom weekly fresh floral arrangements, executing our modern/minimalist aesthetic and ensuring quality, durability, and client-brand appropriateness.
  • Wrap and pack completed arrangements into crates or protective packaging ready for safe transport and site installation.
  • Clean returned vessels/containers from client sites, preparing them for reuse.
  • Maintain an organized production space: warehouse/greenhouse environment (please note—during summer months the space is not air-conditioned and temperatures may reach ~75 °F).
  • Partner with other creative team members to create periodic custom orchid, succulent, and botanical arrangements.
  • Assist our holiday department with the creation of artificial arrangements for holiday décor installations.
  • Work closely with our operations/installation team to ensure timely delivery and placement at client sites.

Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience as a floral designer (preferably with a background in event floristry or corporate floral work) who is now looking for a predictable weekly rhythm rather than heavy weekends.
  • Strong design sensibility with appreciation for modern and minimalist styles; comfortable working with green foliage, branches, structural elements, and sculptural compositions rather than traditional full-bouquet florals.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills: ability to plan multiple arrangements, manage a materials budget, coordinate orders and production in a timely weekly cadence.
  • Comfortable working in a production/warehouse environment (not a fully climate-controlled studio) and able to handle the physical components of prepping, packing, lifting crates, etc.
  • Strong attention to detail, pride in craftsmanship, and ability to maintain a clean/tidy workspace and reuse vessels efficiently.
  • Portfolio or work-samples of past arrangements required—please include photos of your best work (especially any corporate / installation pieces) with your application.

What We Offer

  • Full-time, regular work hours M-F (minimal weekend/after-hours demand) — a refreshing alternative to high-stress event-only floral roles.
  • Opportunity to create upscale, high-visibility installations in premium commercial properties (Class A offices, hotel lobbies).
  • A collaborative, design-forward environment where your aesthetic matters and your craftsmanship will be seen by clients and their visitors.
  • Competitive hourly pay and benefits.
