The Florist Designer is responsible for creating high-quality floral arrangements and decorative designs for daily orders, events, and special occasions. This role requires creativity, strong knowledge of flowers and materials, excellent customer service, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and create floral arrangements for:
- Bouquets
- Weddings and events
- Corporate and seasonal displays
- Sympathy and special occasion orders
- Ensure all floral products meet company quality and brand standards.
- Select, prepare, and care for flowers, plants, and greenery.
- Maintain freshness by properly conditioning, storing, and handling inventory.
- Assist customers with floral selections, custom designs, and order requests.
- Collaborate with the sales and delivery team to ensure accurate and timely fulfillment.
- Support event setup, installation, and on-site floral decoration when required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workshop, tools, and workstations.
- Follow health and safety procedures when handling floral materials and equipment.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a florist or floral designer (minimum 1–2 years preferred).
- Strong knowledge of flowers, seasonal availability, and design techniques.
- Creativity and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Physical ability to stand for long hours and lift floral supplies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in luxury floral boutiques or high-end event design.
- Knowledge of modern floral trends and premium packaging styles.
- Certification or training in floral design is an advantage.
