Florist Helper

Forest Lawn is seeking a friendly, hard-working individual to make floral deliveries inside and outside the Memorial Park. This vital position is responsible for maintaining the design room, refrigerator and display area of the flower shop in a clean and organized manner.


What You'll Be Doing

  • Cut and process new flowers when they arrive.
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the flower workshop.
  • Prep and maintain flowers.
  • Drive and maintain the flower shop vans (checking fuel, water and oil levels) and ensuring they are in safe running condition.
  • Deliver flower arrangements to funeral services locations around the memorial park.
  • Assist the Florists with any duties.

  • Previous experience in a customer service position.
  • Must be able to read maps; read, write, and speak English
  • Must have a caring and professional demeanor and enjoy helping families at a difficult time.
  • Valid California Driver’s License.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs.
  • Comfortable standing for long periods at a time.
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
  • High school diploma/GED certification.
  • Must be able to work on-site.

Drug Testing Policy

Prior to beginning employment, all job applicants who receive a job offer will be required to voluntarily submit to a drug screening test conducted by a laboratory designated by Forest Lawn. The drug screening method is a hair collection test that will detect the use of illegal drugs within the past 90 days. A positive drug test may result in the withdrawal of the job offer.

Forest Lawn has registered to participate in the federal government's E-Verify program. With E-Verify we are able to confirm the employment authorization of all newly hired employees through an electronic database maintained by the Social Security Administration and Department of Homeland Security.
