Job Title: Food & Beverage Instructor

Functional Description

The Food & Beverage Instructor will provide academic and practical instruction in food and beverage service, restaurant operations, and hospitality standards. The role focuses on developing students' technical skills, service excellence, and managerial competencies in food & beverage operations. The Food & Beverage Instructor will design and implement curricula, lead classroom, and oversee the maintenance of a safe and productive learning environment.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and design course materials, lesson plans, and practical training modules.
• Ensure the curriculum covers a wide range of Food & Beverage skills.
• Teach courses in restaurant service, beverage management, barista and mixology basics, and banquet operations.
• Provide hands-on training in table service, customer interaction, and order management.
• Simulate real-world restaurant and café operations for applied student learning.
• Supervise students during events, catering projects, and hospitality service labs.
• Train students in customer service etiquette, conflict resolution, and teamwork.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards in all student activities.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
• Participate in faculty meetings, program reviews, and professional development activities.

Required Education, Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Food & Beverage Management, or related field. Professional certifications in F&B operations preferred.
• At least 3-5 years of industry and/or teaching experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students.
• Expertise in various culinary techniques and cuisines.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills. Ability to create an engaging and supportive learning environment.
• Knowledge of current food safety regulations and best practices.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
