Food, Health & Safety Officer - F & B experience is required

The Role

In this multi-branch operational role, you will be the absolute authority on food hygiene, workplace sanitation, and occupational health and safety (HSE). You will be responsible for implementing advanced HACCP methodologies, preventing operational hazards on the floor and kitchen, and acting as the primary liaison during official government inspections.

Key Responsibilities

  • Food Safety & HACCP Enforcement: Continuously develop, review, and execute our internal Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) programs across all locations.
  • Occupational Health & Safety: Oversee physical branch safety, ensuring Civil Defense compliance, fire safety systems maintenance, first aid readiness, and hazard elimination.
  • Regulatory Liaison: Ensure 100% compliance with the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH), Qatar Chamber, and local municipality (Baladiya) laws and regulations.
  • Multi-Branch Audits: Conduct rigorous, unannounced health, hygiene, and safety audits across all operational branches. Log non-compliance and drive swift corrective actions.
  • Staff Training & Development: Lead continuous on-site training workshops for food handlers, kitchen staff, and baristas to reinforce flawless personal hygiene, chemical handling, and workplace safety protocols.

Mandatory Qualifications & Requirements (Non-Negotiable)

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following local and professional credentials:

  • HACCP Expertise: Must hold a certified HACCP Advanced Level (Level 4) or equivalent credential.
  • Local Licensing: Must be a certified Food Safety Officer with a valid Food Handlers Certificate.
  • Local Governance: Must be a verified MOPH and Qatar Chamber examination passer.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Authoritative understanding of current Qatar Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards and municipality codes.
  • Mobility: Must possess a valid Qatar Driving License (with a vehicle) to actively rotate between multiple branches daily.
  • Experience: 3–5 years of progressive food, health, and safety management experience within multi-unit casual dining, high-end catering, or specialty café groups in the GCC.
  • Languages: Excellent technical and professional communication in English (Arabic is a distinct advantage).
