Job Description
Food Safety & Hygiene Officer - Hotel
The primary responsibility of this role is work closely with food handling departments and the Quality & Sustainability Manager to oversee and implement food safety and hygiene standards in all our food outlets to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain high-quality standards.

Conduct regular inspections and audits of food production processes, facilities, and equipment to ensure compliance with food safety standards.

Train and educate employees on food safety and hygiene practices, including proper handling, storage, and disposal of food products.

Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of food safety programs and make recommendations for improvement as needed.

Investigate food safety incidents, complaints, and non-conformities, and develop corrective and preventive actions to address issues.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and regulatory affairs, to ensure seamless implementation of food safety initiatives.

Stay informed about changes in food safety regulations and industry trends and ensure that our practices are up to date and compliant.

Maintain accurate records and documentation related to food safety activities, inspections, and training sessions.
Qualifications-
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Safety, Microbiology, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.

Previous work experience in Qatar is preferred.

Certification in food safety and hygiene (e.g., HACCP, ServSafe) is required.

Proven experience in a food safety or quality assurance role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a supervisory capacity.

Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, standards, and quality management systems.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to train and educate employees at all levels.

Analytical mindset with the ability to assess risks, identify areas for improvement, and implement effective solutions.
