Food Safety QA Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Safety QA Technician to join our manufacturing team in both Aston and Upper Darby, PA.

Responsibilities

• Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with HACCP, SSOPs, GMPs, and food safety programs
• Perform routine quality and food safety checks on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods
• Verify and document critical control points (CCPs) and preventive controls
• Collect samples for testing
• Complete and maintain accurate QA records, logs, and reports
• Identify non-conformances and assist with corrective and preventive actions
• Ensure proper product labeling, packaging, and traceability
• Support USDA inspections, customer audits, and third-party audits
• Assist with product holds, releases, and investigations
• Train and reinforce food safety and quality practices with production employees
• Report food safety or quality concerns immediately to management

Requirements

• Proven experience in manufacturing environments with a focus on quality control or quality assurance roles.
• Knowledge of industry standards including HACCP principles, GMP practices, and USDA regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail combined with strong organizational skills for maintaining accurate records of inspections and audits.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with manufacturing teams and documenting findings clearly.
