Overview
Responsibilities
Ensure implementation of the factory’s Food Safety Policy and establish, operate, and continuously improve food safety systems (AIB, FSSC22000, HACCP, etc.).
Measure, report, and manage food safety system performance, driving improvement opportunities.
Organize internal/external audits, follow up on non-conformities, and implement corrective/preventive actions.
Lead the HACCP team, coordinating hazard analysis, monitoring, control, and verification activities.
Keep food safety documentation updated and apply regulatory changes and industry publications.
Manage training programs: onboarding, temporary workers, annual refreshers, and HACCP team training.
Ensure cleaning and sanitation of production lines, equipment, and auxiliary facilities in line with GMP and sanitation plans.
Oversee pest control, cleaning, and sanitation programs to maintain GMP requirements.
Develop and monitor the microbiology plan; review and interpret finished product and raw material analyses.
Organize and represent the company during inspections by official authorities and private organizations.
Lead the factory food safety committee, analyze findings, and track action plans.
Identify food safety risks, conduct facility-wide assessments, and manage risks during crisis/emergency situations. Ensure execution of the factory incident management protocol.
Manage consumer complaints program, providing timely responses and conducting root cause analysis sessions with production, maintenance, and warehouse teams to implement corrective actions.
Organize food safety projects and purchasing requests; oversee the quality department budget and resource allocation.
Ensure compliance with ISO 14001 Environmental Management System and ISO 50001 Energy Management System requirements; monitor and improve energy consumption.
Lead and develop the team through 1:1s, meetings, and by ensuring compliance with workplace policies and standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Food, Chemical, or related fields).
At least 3 years of experience in food safety or quality assurance roles.
Proficiency in English.
Strong knowledge of MS Office applications.
Team-oriented and results-driven mindset.
