Summary:

Responsible for quality, quantity of food served to patients, staff and guests. Maintains cleanliness and sanitation in all work areas Type of Opportunity: Full time Job Exempt: No Job is based: Plains Regional Medical Center Work Shift: Varied Days and Hours (United States of America)

Responsibilities:

*Coordinates and follows standard recipes for preparation of all food. *Prepares and delivers quality products and established portions on schedule. *Maintains all foods at appropriate temperatures. *Maintains daily records to include patient meals, cafeteria meals, special events, meals on wheels, and temperature of food. *Compiles an understanding of basic principals of regular and therapeutic diets; implements this understanding in food preparation. *Coordinates and prepares for next day food preparation. *Maintains cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with regulations. *Manages resources in cost effective manner.

Qualifications:

High School or equivalent. Five years experience cooking in high volume, institutional setting. Preferred experience with various diets and short order grill work
