Job Overview:
The Food Technologist will be responsible for developing, testing, and improving food products to ensure safety, quality, and compliance with regulations. The role involves monitoring production processes, ensuring proper shelf life, and maintaining product standards. The Food Technologist will also support innovation by creating new recipes and improving existing ones. This position requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and a commitment to food safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and improve food products to meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Conduct quality checks during production to maintain consistency and compliance.
- Research and implement new ingredients, recipes, and processing methods.
- Ensure compliance with food safety laws, health regulations, and company policies.
- Collaborate with production, supply chain, and quality assurance teams for smooth operations.
- Maintain accurate documentation of product specifications, testing results, and procedures.
- Facilitating the export of food products to our International Franchisees
- Ensuring the shelf life and quality of all products during transit and storage
Education:
- High school diploma or degree in Food Science, Food Technology or a related field
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience of Relevant Experience
Skills:
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and quality control procedures.
- Basic knowledge of food processing, preservation, and shelf-life management.
- Familiarity with HACCP, GMP, and relevant food industry regulations.
- Ability to conduct product testing, sensory evaluation, and documentation.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills for improving product quality.
- Team collaboration and communication skills to work across departments.
- Basic proficiency in MS Excel for data entry, record-keeping, and report preparation.
