We are looking for a dedicated Food Technologist to join our team as a Quality Assurance Executive (QMS). The QA Executive (QMS) is responsible for ensuring food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance across all stages of production. The role focuses on the effective implementation and maintenance of Quality Management Systems in line with HACCP, ISO, and IFSA requirements. The position supports continuous improvement initiatives and works closely with production, suppliers, and auditors to ensure compliance with internal standards and external certifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all raw materials, in-process, and finished food products meet defined quality, safety, and regulatory specifications.
- Implement, monitor, and maintain Quality Management Systems (QMS) in compliance with HACCP, ISO standards, and IFSA requirements.
- Monitor food safety and quality control measures throughout the production process to ensure consistent compliance.
- Conduct routine inspections, verifications, and assessments of production processes, GMPs, and hygiene practices.
- Lead and coordinate internal and external audits related to HACCP, ISO, IFSA, and customer requirements, including audit preparation, execution, reporting, and closure of non-conformances.
- Develop, review, and maintain QMS documentation such as SOPs, HACCP plans, quality manuals, records, audit reports, and CAPA documentation.
- Perform sensory, physical, and basic laboratory testing of food products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Identify quality deviations, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Work closely with the production and operations teams to resolve quality issues and recommend process and system improvements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable food safety regulations, statutory requirements, and certification standards.
- Support the development, validation, and implementation of quality and food safety specifications for new and existing products.
- Deliver training and awareness programs for employees on HACCP, ISO, IFSA, GMP, hygiene, and QMS practices.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure incoming raw materials comply with approved quality and food safety standards.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance food safety culture and system effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in Quality Assurance within the food manufacturing industry.
- Strong working knowledge of HACCP principles, ISO standards, IFSA requirements, and food safety regulations.
- Proven experience in conducting and managing internal and external audits.
- Familiarity with sensory evaluation, laboratory testing, and food safety inspections.
- Knowledge of quality tools such as root cause analysis, risk assessment, and CAPA.
