Key Responsibilities

  • Team Supervision & Leadership:
    Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of motor winders and electricians.
    Assign tasks, manage work schedules, and ensure projects are completed efficiently and safely.
    Conduct daily safety briefings and ensure the team adheres to all safety protocols for working with high voltage equipment.
    Provide hands-on technical guidance and training to subordinates.
  • Technical Execution & Quality Control:
    Oversee the entire motor rewinding process, from disassembly and data logging to winding, insulation, varnishing, and final assembly.
    Perform and supervise the inspection and repair of high voltage (HV) electrical motors and generators.
    Conduct advanced diagnostic and testing procedures using specialized equipment such as surge testers, hipot testers, and megohmmeters.
    Ensure all work complies with manufacturer specifications and relevant industry standards (e.g., EASA, IEEE).
    Maintain a detailed record of all work performed, including test results and material usage.
  • Project & Resource Management:
    Plan and estimate labor, materials, and equipment required for each job.
    Coordinate with other departments (e.g., Mechanical, Sales) to ensure seamless project execution.
    Manage and maintain the inventory of winding materials, insulation, and other electrical components.
    Ensure all tools and equipment are in good working order and calibrated regularly.
  • Safety & Compliance:
    Enforce a strict safety culture, especially when handling HV equipment, and ensure the team uses appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
    Adhere to all company, client, and regulatory safety and quality standards.
    Conduct risk assessments for each job and implement measures to mitigate hazards.
