Foreman (Swimming Pools Maintenance)

Job Summary:

The Foreman – Swimming Pools Maintenance is responsible for supervising the day-to-day maintenance, repair, and operation of residential, commercial, hospitality, and recreational swimming pools. The role ensures that all swimming pool systems operate efficiently, water quality complies with health and safety standards, and maintenance activities are completed on schedule while leading a team of technicians.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate daily swimming pool maintenance activities.
• Lead and monitor a team of pool maintenance technicians and helpers.
• Schedule preventive and corrective maintenance for swimming pools, fountains, spas, and water features.
• Monitor and maintain pool water chemistry, including pH, chlorine, alkalinity, calcium hardness, and TDS levels.
• Inspect and maintain filtration systems, pumps, motors, valves, pipelines, filters, heaters, chlorination systems, UV systems, and dosing equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues related to swimming pools.
• Ensure proper cleaning of pools, skimmers, overflow channels, balance tanks, and surrounding areas.
• Monitor chemical consumption and ensure safe handling and storage of pool chemicals.
• Coordinate with suppliers for materials, chemicals, and spare parts.
• Conduct daily inspections and prepare maintenance reports.
• Ensure all maintenance work complies with company procedures and client requirements.
• Attend emergency breakdowns and resolve issues promptly.
• Train technicians on maintenance procedures and safe work practices.
• Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in good working condition.
• Coordinate with clients regarding maintenance schedules and operational issues.
• Ensure compliance with Qatar Municipality, health, environmental, and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or Facilities Maintenance.
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or equivalent swimming pool maintenance certification is preferred.
• Valid Qatar Driving License is an advantage.

Experience:

• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in swimming pool maintenance.
• Minimum 2–3 years in a Foreman or Supervisory role.
• GCC/Qatar experience is highly preferred.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Diploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, or Facilities Maintenance.
• 5–8 years of swimming pool maintenance experience, including at least 2–3 years as a Foreman or Supervisor.
• Strong knowledge of pool water treatment, filtration systems, pumps, dosing systems, and preventive maintenance.
• Experience in leading maintenance teams in Qatar or the GCC.
• Good communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.
• Valid Qatar Driving License and transferable QID are preferred.
