Forklift Mechanic

Job Purpose:

To inspect, maintain, and repair forklifts and material handling equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and servicing of forklifts (diesel, electric, LPG)
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults
• Repair or replace defective parts such as engines, brakes, steering systems, and batteries
• Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure equipment compliance
• Maintain service records and maintenance logs
• Respond to breakdowns and provide timely repairs
• Ensure proper use of tools, equipment, and safety procedures
• Coordinate with operations to minimize downtime

Requirements:

• Diploma or technical certification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field
• 3–5 years of experience in forklift or heavy equipment maintenance
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, engines, and electrical components
• Familiarity with safety standards and maintenance practices
