Forklift Mechanic (Zagre, Croatia)

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect forklifts and other material handling equipment for defects or malfunctions
• Perform routine maintenance: oil changes, lubrication, battery checks, hydraulic system service
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems
• Repair or replace faulty parts (engines, brakes, transmissions, tires, forks, hydraulics)
• Test forklifts after repair to ensure proper operation
• Maintain service records, spare parts inventory, and work logs
• Follow workplace safety standards and equipment regulations

Skills and Qualifications

• Mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical knowledge relevant to forklifts
• Ability to read technical manuals and schematics
• Experience with diesel and electric engines, hydraulic systems, and transmission components
• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Knowledge of safety regulations and preventive maintenance procedures

Work Environment

• Warehouses, factories, construction sites, or industrial facilities
• Indoor and outdoor work; may involve lifting and handling heavy parts
• Often shift work, depending on equipment usage and production schedules
