Role Overview:
The FP&A and Cost Analyst will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and controlling costs related to catering, décor, and event operations. This role ensures accurate costing, identifies cost-saving opportunities, and supports management in financial decision-making.
You also will be responsible for financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis across Hanif Rajput’s business verticals. The role will support strategic decision-making by providing insights into financial performance, revenue trends, and cost efficiencies.
The Cost Accountant will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and controlling costs related to catering, décor, and event operations. This role ensures accurate costing, identifies cost-saving opportunities, and supports management in financial decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain cost accounting systems for food production, décor setup, and event execution.
- Prepare detailed cost analysis reports for individual events and ongoing operations.
- Track actual costs against budgets and forecasts, highlighting variances and recommending corrective actions.
- Coordinate with procurement and operations to ensure optimal material usage and wastage control.
- Assist in pricing strategy by providing accurate cost-based data for menu items, décor packages, and event services.
- Conduct periodic inventory audits of raw materials, décor items, and other consumables.
- Maintain cost data within ERP/Accounting software and ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Collaborate with the finance team to prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual cost reports.
- Develop and maintain annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
- Conduct variance analysis comparing actual results to budgets and forecasts, providing actionable recommendations.
- Create financial models for scenario planning, investment decisions, and event profitability analysis.
- Analyze performance by revenue streams (catering, décor, venues, corporate events) and identify growth opportunities.
- Prepare management reports, KPI dashboards, and board-level presentations.
- Partner with operations, sales, and marketing teams to align financial plans with business goals.
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and ROI on marketing and capital expenditure initiatives.
- Provide financial insights to support pricing, expansion, and operational efficiency projects.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field (ACCA/ICMA/CA Inter preferred).
- 3–5 years’ experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or business analysis, cost accounting, preferably in hospitality, catering, or manufacturing.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and Excel; knowledge of BI tools preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems.
- Understanding of food cost control, event costing, and inventory management.
