Fractional Jr. CFO / Controller / Financial Analyst

This is a video-first role. You will be on Zoom with clients regularly and communication is a core part of the job. Presentation matters. If you are not comfortable speaking with clients on camera, this role will not be a fit.

Compensation:
Base salary is $72,000 per year. Within 6–8 months, the expected total compensation is approximately $120,000 per year through client performance bonuses.

We connect to all available business data including accounting systems, marketing platforms, bank accounts, and point-of-sale systems. We transform that data into our Integrated Financial Model (IFM), which allows clients to see their business clearly and identify what is driving growth or holding them back.

Role Overview:
You will manage your own group of clients and act as their financial partner. Your primary responsibility is to interpret data, provide insight, and guide business decisions. You will not be working alone. Our internal team supports you with data preparation, bookkeeping, and model building so you can focus on analysis and communication.

Key Responsibilities:
You will provide financial guidance including forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow analysis. You will work within our financial modeling system to analyze performance and identify opportunities for improvement. You will advise clients on financial processes, systems, and controls. You will lead client meetings and communicate insights clearly, helping business owners understand what actions to take.

Requirements:
Candidates should have at least 1 year of experience as a CFO or Fractional CFO, or at least 3 years of experience as a Controller or in a senior financial role. Strong financial modeling experience can offset time requirements. You must have a solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

You must be proficient in Google Sheets, including building and working with formulas. Experience with QuickBooks Online is required. A basic understanding of how software systems connect, including APIs or integrations, is important.

You should be a strong communicator, comfortable speaking with clients, and able to explain financial concepts clearly. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, professional, adaptable, and willing to learn.

Work Environment:
This is a fully remote position. All meetings are conducted via Zoom or Google Meet with video on. You will work closely with an internal team that supports your clients.
