Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Framing Carpenter to join our construction team and bring building projects to life with precision and craftsmanship. As a vital member of our crew, you will be responsible for constructing the framework that forms the backbone of residential, commercial, and industrial structures. Your expertise will ensure that each project is built to exact specifications, safe, durable, and visually appealing. Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately construct framing components.
  • Erect metal building frameworks, including steel studs and metal framing systems, ensuring alignment and structural integrity.
  • Build and install concrete forms for foundations, walls, and other structural elements with precision.
  • Install rebar reinforcement in concrete structures to provide strength and stability according to project specifications.
  • Perform heavy lifting of materials such as lumber, steel beams, concrete forms, and other construction components safely and efficiently.
  • Use hand tools (such as hammers, saws, chisels) and power tools (drills, nail guns, saws) effectively to cut, shape, assemble, and install framing elements.
  • Execute masonry tasks including laying bricks or blocks when required for structural or aesthetic purposes.
  • Apply finishing techniques such as trimming, plastering, or siding installation to ensure high-quality results.
  • Operate heavy equipment like forklifts or cranes when necessary for material handling or positioning large structural components.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to coordinate tasks smoothly across the construction site.
  • Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
  • Assist in remodeling or restoration projects by adapting framing techniques to existing structures or unique design specifications.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in framing carpentry with a solid understanding of construction site operations.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to framing projects.
  • Skilled in metal building erection, concrete forming, rebar installation, roofing, siding, stucco application, and trim carpentry.
  • Knowledge of masonry work including bricklaying or blockwork is a plus.
  • Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively on a daily basis.
  • Experience with heavy equipment operation such as forklifts or cranes preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform heavy lifting regularly while maintaining safety standards.
  • Familiarity with welding techniques for metal framing or repairs is advantageous.
  • Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate clearly across diverse crews.
  • Valid construction site experience demonstrating adherence to safety regulations and quality standards.
