Fraud Analyst

For a leading Islamic Bank in Bahrain, we are hiring Fraud Analyst. The role will mainly to be the first layer of defense to prevent fraud attempts or reduce the effect of the fraud and increase the safety of the bank customers by ensure 24/7 fraud monitoring. The candidate will be involved in monitoring and detecting fraudulent activities on different channels within the Bank. Fraud Monitoring Analyst to proactively monitor financial transactions for suspicious activities and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal fraud prevention policies. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to respond to potentially fraudulent activities.

Job Responsibilities:

• Continuously monitor financial transactions for suspicious activities.
• Take the necessary actions for alerts triggered based on the predefined criteria within the system.
• Report and register all the action taken within the system.
• Investigate triggered alerts, review the alert data, user behavior, take necessary actions, and document findings.
• Ensure all actions and investigations are properly recorded and reported.
• Communicate with the customers to verify the suspicious transactions and activities.
• Recommend enhancements to the fraud monitoring system and alert scenarios.
• Committed with rules and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
• Experience in fraud monitoring, risk management, or a similar role within banking.
• Professional certifications in fraud risk management (e.g., CFE – Certified Fraud Examiner).
• Knowledge of Bahrain’s regulatory framework for fraud risk management.
• Experience working with fraud analytics and AI-driven detection tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Excellent communication skills for customer interaction and internal reporting.
