Freelance Graphic Designer

MBE Policy Alliance, Inc. is seeking a Graphic Designer to support marketing and brand development for various conferences. We host some of the region’s most impactful events for small, minority, and community-based businesses. This role focuses on producing high-quality visual materials that elevate sponsor visibility, event presence, and public engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design promotional materials including flyers, brochures, signage, digital ads, and presentation decks
• Create cohesive branding and visual identity elements across print and digital platforms
• Develop sponsor and partner graphics for event marketing and outreach campaigns
• Prepare production-ready files for print vendors and event display companies
• Collaborate with internal event planning team to ensure brand consistency and timely deliverables

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) or equivalent professional tools
• Strong portfolio demonstrating clean layout, typography, and event or campaign design experience
• Ability to work on deadlines with shifting priorities, especially around event timelines
• Experience creating materials for conferences, trade shows, or public-facing brand activations is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to polished, professional work

Preferred Experience (Not Required):

• Knowledge of printing formats, large-format signage, or vendor-ready file specs
• Familiarity with branding for civic, nonprofit, or economic development organizations

• Competitive hourly or project-based compensation, depending on experience
