Freelance Project Engineer -Swimming Pool and Service Room

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager / Project Engineer with specialized expertise in swimming pool construction and service room infrastructure for high-end residential, hospitality, or commercial projects. The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end project management, including planning, execution, supervision, quality control, and coordination with consultants, contractors, and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with technical specifications and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the complete lifecycle of swimming pool construction projects, from excavation to commissioning.
• Supervise the construction of service rooms, pump rooms, filtration systems, and MEP installations related to pools.
• Review architectural drawings, structural designs, and MEP layouts for swimming pools and related facilities.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth execution of works.
• Ensure installation and testing of filtration systems, pumps, piping, waterproofing, drainage systems, and pool finishing materials.
• Monitor site activities to ensure quality standards, safety regulations, and local construction codes are strictly followed.
• Prepare project schedules, progress reports, and cost tracking to maintain project timelines.
• Conduct site inspections, snagging, and final handover of projects.
• Manage procurement of pool equipment, tiles, waterproofing materials, and MEP components.
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to water circulation, filtration systems, pool structure, and equipment rooms.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards on site.

Technical Scope of Work

• Reinforced concrete swimming pool structures
• Waterproofing systems and leak testing
• Pool filtration systems (sand filters, pumps, dosing systems)
• Pool plumbing and circulation systems
• Mechanical and electrical works in pump/service rooms
• Tiling, coping, and finishing works for pools
• Integration with landscaping and outdoor water features

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Professional certifications in construction or project management are an advantage.

Experience Requirements

• 5–10+ years of construction experience, with at least 3 years focused on swimming pool construction.
• Proven experience managing pool construction, pump rooms, and related MEP works.
• Experience in luxury villas, resorts, hotels, or high-end residential projects is preferred.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of pool engineering systems and water treatment equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and construction specifications.
• Excellent site management and contractor coordination skills.
• Proficiency in project management tools, MS Office, and AutoCAD.
• Strong problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.

Job Type: Temporary
Contract length: 2 months

Pay: AED10,000.00 - AED12,000.00 per month
