Freight Brokerage Supervisor

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Freight Brokerage Supervisor to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating freight shipments, managing carrier relationships, and ensuring seamless transportation solutions for clients. This role offers an excellent opportunity to leverage expertise in supply chain management, transportation planning, and sales within a fast-paced environment. The Freight Brokerage Supervisor will play a critical role in optimizing logistics operations while maintaining strong customer and carrier relationships.

Duties

  • Coordinate and manage freight shipments across various modes of transportation, ensuring timely delivery and cost efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with carriers, shippers, and clients to facilitate smooth logistics operations.
  • Negotiate rates, contracts, and terms with carriers and clients to maximize profitability and service quality.
  • Utilize our Transportation Management System (TMS)-McLeod.
  • Manage account portfolios by providing exceptional customer relationship management (CRM) support and resolving issues promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal teammates on logistics planning, dispatching, pricing strategies.
  • Maintain accurate data entry for shipment details, carrier information, pricing agreements, and contract documentation.
  • Support logistics sales efforts by identifying new business opportunities within the current customer base.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain management, transportation management systems (TMS), and logistics operations.
  • Proven experience in, inside sales, freight brokerage, or logistics sales role
  • Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to develop mutually beneficial contracts with carriers and clients.
  • Familiarity with transportation planning, and dispatching.
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Knowledge of DOT, HOS, and FMCSA regulations.
  • Strong communication skills for account management, and negotiation processes.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
