The Role

We are looking for a highly organized, tech-savvy, and personable Front Desk Administrator. This individual serves as the central hub of Spark Lab, managing external communications with our customers and community partners, managing our website and social pages, and handling staff coordination.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operations, Customer & Partner Communications

  • Primary Liaison: Act as the face of Spark Lab for all stakeholders. Greet guests and families with a warm, professional attitude.
  • Parent Communications: Manage student check-ins, tracking attendance, and proactively communicating schedule updates, holiday closures, and center news.
  • Enrollment & Logistics: Handle new student registrations, cancellations, and the management of makeup credits.
  • Community Partnership: Handle communication and working with our local community and business partners.
  • Scheduling: Build and manage weekly instructor schedules based on staff availability and student enrollment.

2. Website and Social Media Management

  • Online Presence Management: Create, curate, and schedule engaging content for Facebook and Instagram, while keeping our website and blog updated with fresh content and center news.
  • Graphic Design & Media: Use tools like Canva to design promotional materials. Capture and perform basic editing of photos/videos for social content.
  • Event Planning: Set up and promote our monthly workshops and special events.

Qualifications

  • Professional Experience: Preferred experience in marketing, sales, account management, or lead generation.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Highly energetic, enthusiastic, and confident personality. Comfortable with face-to-face outreach and phone communication.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal skills for parent interaction, professional networking, and social media copywriting.
  • Creative Mindset: Strong attention to detail with a flair for design (Canva) and basic photo/video editing skills.
  • Self-Starter: Strong self-motivation and the ability to work independently on outreach projects.
  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with scheduling software, social media platforms, and website CMS (e.g., WordPress/Wix).
  • Organizational Ninja: Ability to juggle multiple administrative tasks and outreach projects simultaneously.
  • Passion for Education: A genuine interest in STEM and helping kids succeed.

Schedule & Compensation

  • Hours: 16–30 hours weekly. Shift windows are generally between 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM on weekdays, with occasional Saturday mornings (10:00 AM – 2:00 PM).
  • Pay: $18 per hour.

Samples of social media work, Canva designs, or video clips are highly encouraged!

Pay: $18.00 per hour
