Front Desk Coordinator

We are looking for a Front Desk Coordinator to serve as the first point of contact for a non-profit organization in South Lake Tahoe, California. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping the public, managing front office activity, and keeping daily operations running smoothly. The person in this role will combine strong customer service skills with administrative support to create a positive and organized experience for visitors, callers, and staff.

Responsibilities:
• Welcome community members, guests, and callers with professionalism and ensure each interaction is handled with courtesy and care.
• Respond to questions, concerns, and service requests by gathering accurate details and documenting information clearly.
• Direct visitors and incoming inquiries to the appropriate department or team member based on the nature of the request.
• Enter and maintain records in internal databases and office tracking tools with a high level of accuracy.
• Provide day-to-day administrative assistance such as scanning documents, filing records, copying materials, and organizing paperwork.
• Keep the reception and front office areas clean, orderly, and inviting for all visitors and staff.
• Manage multi-line phone activity efficiently, including answering inbound calls and routing messages as needed.
• Assist internal team members with general clerical tasks and other administrative support duties as assigned.

• Prior experience in a reception, front desk, or customer-facing administrative role.

• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with visitors, callers, and staff members.

• Experience handling multi-line phone systems and managing inbound calls in a busy office setting.

• Strong data entry skills with careful attention to accuracy and detail.

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and general office software.

• Ability to stay organized while managing multiple tasks and changing priorities.

• Comfortable performing basic office support functions, including filing, scanning, and document handling.

• Prior non-profit experience is a plus
