We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Front Desk Dental Receptionist to join our vibrant dental practice. Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly upon arrival, verify appointment details, and assist with patient check-in and check-out procedures using
- Manage multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette, scheduling appointments, answering inquiries, and directing calls appropriately
- Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance verification processes utilizing XL Dent.
- Collect payments and perform medical billing and coding tasks including CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9/10 (International Classification of Diseases), and ICD coding to ensure accurate documentation and reimbursement
- Maintain organized medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations through proper documentation review and health information management
- Assist with appointment scheduling, patient intake, and follow-up communications to enhance patient experience
- Support clinic operations by filing documents, managing office supplies, and maintaining a clean and welcoming front desk environment
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or Dental Receptionist in a clinical setting, with strong knowledge of dental terminology and medical administrative procedures
- Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing skills such as 10-key typing for data entry
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone and in person; bilingual abilities are a plus
- Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while maintaining compliance with HIPAA standards
- Previous clinic or dental office experience is highly desirable; familiarity with multi-line phone systems and medical office management is advantageous
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and filing processes
