Front Desk Receptionist

We are seeking a dedicated and professional Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations of our Nursing Home. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth communication and efficient workflow within the facility.

Duties

• Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing a welcoming atmosphere.
• Manage phone systems, answering calls promptly and directing inquiries to the appropriate personnel.
• Schedule appointments and maintain an organized calendar for medical services.
• Review documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Assist with medical billing processes, including verification of insurance information.
• Maintain patient records in accordance with ICD-9 coding standards.
• Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies.
• Collaborate with medical staff to facilitate patient care and office operations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a receptionist in a medical or dental office is preferred.
• Knowledge of documentation review processes and HIPAA compliance is essential.
• Proficiency in using phone systems and electronic health record (EHR) software.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
