Front Desk Receptionist

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Front Desk Receptionist to join our team at Fairborn Vision Center. This role is essential in creating a welcoming environment for our patients while supporting both front desk operations and basic clinical duties.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare setting. Previous experience in customer service or a medical/optometry office is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and check in patients in a professional and friendly manner
  • Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage calendars
  • Verify insurance information and assist with basic billing inquiries
  • Maintain accurate patient records and handle data entry
  • Perform pre-testing procedures (such as auto-refraction, visual acuity, and preliminary screenings)
  • Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for the doctor
  • Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow
  • Process payments and handle front desk transactions
  • Keep the reception area clean, organized, and welcoming

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Basic computer skills and comfort with office software
  • Willingness to learn clinical pre-testing procedures
  • Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
  • Experience in a medical or optometry office is a plus
