Front Desk Receptionist

POSITION SUMMARY

The Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for Derby Dental Laboratory — welcoming visitors, managing all incoming calls, and keeping front-office operations running smoothly. This person sets the tone for every interaction with our clients, dental offices, and vendors, so a warm personality and polished phone presence are essential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Answer, screen, and direct all incoming calls professionally and courteously
  • Greet and assist visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel
  • Triage incoming calls and assist clients with basic case questions such as expected turnaround times and case submission procedures
  • Assist with data entry, invoicing support, and basic office supply management
  • Relay messages accurately and follow up on pending items in a timely manner
  • Support lab staff and management with administrative tasks as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree a plus
  • 1+ year of receptionist, front desk, or customer service experience preferred
  • Exceptional phone manner — clear, friendly, and professional
  • Strong organizational skills with close attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfort learning new software
  • Ability to multitask and stay calm in a fast-moving environment

Dental or healthcare industry experience is a bonus, but not require

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
