Front Desk Receptionist

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, positive Front Desk Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our organization. In this vital role, you provide exceptional customer service, and support front office tasks. Your positive attitude and medical office experience will make this an easy transition.

Duties

• Check in or out in a GYN/Urology practice.
• Mon- Fri 8:00-4:30 in the Tennova Turkey Creek location
• Warmly address patients as they check in while gathering pertinent demographic information
• Accurately update patient demographic information including insurance info, obtaining electronic insurance verification and collect copays, balances, etc.,
• Answer multi-line phone systems efficiently, directing calls accurately and professionally
• Manage appointment scheduling and patient registration using various digital tools
• Make return appointments if you are working the check out position.
• Provide customer support by addressing inquiries with excellent phone etiquette and professionalism
• Assist with clerical duties including managing incoming packages, faxed documents, scanning, etc., Requirements
• Proven experience in medical front office.
• Proficiency in Athena preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Experience with accurately identifying insurance cards and updating that info in the EMR
• Experience in collecting copays, balancing cash drawer at end of day
• Experience working with multi-line phone systems and providing exceptional customer service
• Demonstrated time management skills with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently
