We are looking for a highly organized and customer-focused Front Desk Coordinator to assist in our auto repair shop. You will manage daily front-office operations, greet customers, schedule appointments, and facilitate clear communication between our clients and our automotive technicians. The ideal candidate has excellent multitasking skills, a friendly demeanor, and a basic understanding of automotive repair processes.
Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Welcome customers as they arrive, listen to their vehicle concerns, and guide them through the repair process in a professional and reassuring manner.
- Appointment Scheduling: Manage the daily shop calendar by booking appointments via phone, email, and in-person visits.
- Estimates & Invoicing: Assist with preparing repair estimates, explaining invoices to customers, and processing payments upon completion of service.
- Communication: Keep customers updated on their vehicle’s status via phone, text, or email, and obtain approval for additional work.
- Workflow Coordination: Relay repair orders and specific customer requests clearly to the mechanics. Track vehicle progress to ensure promised turnaround times are met.
- Administrative Tasks: Maintain organized digital and physical customer files, order office supplies, and handle basic shop correspondence.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service, reception, or an administrative role (automotive industry experience is a major plus).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical terms in plain language.
- Proficiency with Quickbooks.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced, sometimes noisy environment.
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
