Front Desk Receptionist / Insurance Billing

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and friendly Dental Front Desk Receptionist to join our team in a modern all digital Pediatric/Orthodontic Dental Specialty practice. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for our patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations and handling insurance billing and verification.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression.
• Manage dental scheduling, including appointment bookings, confirmations, and cancellations.
• Perform insurance verification to ensure coverage for services provided.
• Assist with billing processes and maintain accurate patient records.
• Provide administrative support by managing incoming calls, emails, and correspondence.
• Maintain a clean and organized front desk area.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to coordinate care plans for patients.
• Utilize OpenDental software for patient management and record keeping.
• Address patient inquiries and concerns with professionalism and empathy.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a dental receptionist or in a similar front desk or dental billing role within a dental setting is required.
• Effective communication with patients and staff.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations gracefully.
• Experience with dental scheduling systems; familiarity with OpenDental software is a plus. Knowledge of insurance verification processes and dental billing practices.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour
