Position Summary:

The Front Desk Representative provides exceptional customer service while managing front office operations, ensuring accurate patient account handling, and supporting clinical and administrative workflows.

Reports to: Practice Manager / Office Supervisor

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Minimum Education:

Required: High School Diploma
Preferred: Certification as a Medical Secretary, Medical Office Assistant, or Medical Office Technician; knowledge of ICD-10/CPT coding and medical terminology

Required Skills:

  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of medical office procedures and terminology (preferred)
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and payment processing
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism


Minimum Work Experience:

Preferred: Experience working in a physician’s office, clinic, or similar medical setting

Essential Functions:

  • Provide excellent customer service and accurately post payments to patient accounts
  • Complete end-of-day processing duties
  • Manage and work assigned front desk queues
  • Scan and upload documents into patient charts
  • Complete and fax forms; obtain provider signatures as needed
  • Monitor and control drug representative traffic flow
  • Assist in orienting new staff as assigned
  • Travel to satellite locations as required


Non-Essential Functions:

  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Assist team members and departments to support overall operations
