Front Desk Staff

We are seeking a friendly, energetic, and customer-oriented Gym Front Desk Attendant to be the first point of contact for members and guests at our fitness center. This individual will play a key role in ensuring a welcoming, efficient, and smooth experience for all patrons. The ideal candidate will be proactive, have a strong attention to detail, and possess excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist members and guests upon arrival, providing information about gym services, memberships, and policies.
• Answer phone calls, emails, and inquiries, directing them to the appropriate department or staff member.
• Process memberships, renewals, and cancellations, ensuring all information is accurately recorded.
• Handle cash transactions, process payments, and maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.
• Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front desk area.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining records.
• Resolve member issues or concerns in a professional and courteous manner, escalating to management when necessary.
• Promote and upsell gym services, products, and memberships to potential and existing clients.
• Ensure the gym’s safety and security by monitoring the entry and exit of members and visitors.
• Must be willing to clean the majority of the shift.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Some college preferred).
• Previous customer service or front desk experience is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic knowledge of gym equipment and fitness classes is beneficial.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and point-of-sale systems.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
