Front Desk/Medical Assistant Float

Job description

The Neurology Center is looking for a Front Desk/Medical Assistant Float to join our practice in our Escondido office. The Front Desk/Medical Assistant Float will work alongside our Physicians and Advanced Practitioners to assist our patients and ensure their care needs are being met in addition to understanding the full flow of the Front Desk. The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• Willingness to learn

Job duties include but are not limited to:

• Rooming patients
• Taking vital signs
• Obtaining basic medical history from patients
• Returning messages from patients
• Assisting Providers during clinic
• Checking patients in/out
• Collecting co-pays
• Scheduling appointments
• Knowledge of health insurances

Requirements:

• Medical Assistant certification

Preferred experience:

• 1-2 years prior Medical Assistant experience (preferred)
• EPIC EMR experience (preferred)
• Prior Neurology experience (preferred)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $22.00 per hour
