Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing exceptional guest relations and ensuring a positive first impression
  • Manage reservations using OpenTable and coordinate seating arrangements efficiently to optimize guest flow
  • Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff
  • Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
  • Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling duties, while maintaining proper sanitation and food safety standards
  • Assist with food handling, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to ensure timely service
  • Maintain cleanliness of the front of house area, including host stand, dining space, and service stations in accordance with sanitation regulations
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries promptly and resolving any issues professionally

Qualifications

  • Fluent in English
  • Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs or upscale restaurants
  • Familiarity with POS systems
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
  • Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and basic food handling procedures
  • Experience in serving, bussing tables, or host/hostess roles preferred but not required
  • Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and order calculations
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
