Front of House Manager

IL Lago is an exciting new Italian restaurant at Mango Hill, opening early March, and we are looking for a Front of House Manager to run the service side of our restaurant. In this position, you will assist in hiring and training food and beverage service staff, create shift schedules, and ensure that the front-of-house (FOH) runs smoothly.

You are ultimately responsible for customer satisfaction, so you must make sure your staff is providing excellent customer service. You must also facilitate a smooth line of communication between the servers and the kitchen. Our ideal candidate has several years of experience working in restaurants, preferably with some time spent in a supervisory role.

Requirements Your Responsibilities

1. Hire and train FOH staff
2. Set and maintain a shift schedule
3. Oversee day-to-day operations in the FOH
4. Ensure customer satisfaction by quickly fixing any issues
5. Facilitate quick and efficient communication between front and back-of-house (BOH)

What You Bring

1. High level of written and verbal communication
2. Several years restaurant experience
3. Supervisory experience
4. Strong leadership and management skills
5. Familiar with Italian dishes would be favourable
6. A sound knowledge of Australian and imported wines
7. Passion for cocktails
8. Well presented and well spoken
9. Must be available nights and weekends
10. Food Safety Certificate and Responsible Service Of Alcohol is required
