Lenny’s Coal-Fired Pizza is looking for a reliable and energetic Front of House Shift Lead to help oversee the dining room during service.

This position is not a serving role and is not a tipped position. Instead, it is a lead host position focused on managing the flow of the dining room, supporting the team, and ensuring guests have a great experience.

The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys interacting with guests, staying organized during busy shifts, and stepping in wherever needed to help the team succeed.

This role primarily performs host responsibilities, while also acting as a leader and point person for the front of house, helping guide hosts, bussers, and supporting the serving staff throughout the shift.

Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Experience

• Serve as the lead host during service
• Greet and seat guests while managing the waitlist and table flow
• Ensure guests feel welcomed and taken care of from arrival to departure
• Address and resolve guest concerns or complaints professionally
• Communicate with servers and kitchen staff to maintain smooth service flow

Dining Room Leadership

• Provide leadership and guidance to hosts and bussers
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of the dining room
• Step in wherever needed to keep service moving smoothly
• Support the serving staff during busy periods

Operations Support

• Coordinate and execute to-go orders
• Occasionally assist with expo window duties
• Help run food when needed
• Bus and reset tables during peak times
• Ensure the host stand and dining room remain organized

Team Support

• Help train and guide newer hosts and bussers
• Maintain strong communication with the kitchen and serving team
• Be a visible leadership presence on the floor

Position Details

• Hourly position (not a tipped/server role)
• Focused on hosting, guest service, and dining room leadership
• Ideal for someone who enjoys leading the front of house without the responsibilities of serving tables

Qualifications

• Prior restaurant experience preferred
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to stay organized and calm during busy shifts
• Team-oriented with a willingness to jump in wherever needed
• Friendly, professional demeanor with guests and staff
• Ability to stand and move throughout the shift

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
