Frontend Developer – Next.js

Job Summary

We’re looking for a skilled Next.js Frontend Developer to build high-performance, SEO-friendly, and scalable web apps for our growing e-commerce business.

Job Description

• Implement SSR, SSG/ISR & client-side rendering for SEO & performance.
• Integrate RESTful/GraphQL APIs with Laravel backend.
• Develop and maintain payment gateway integrations & secure checkout flows.
• Optimize databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL), caching, CDN, and Core Web Vitals.
• Apply SEO best practices (canonical tags, meta, sitemap, schema).
• Integrate GTM, GA4, Search Console & collaborate with UX/marketing teams.
• Lead CI/CD, Git workflows, and cloud deployments (Vercel/AWS).
• Ensure quality with testing (Jest, Cypress, React Testing Library).
• Troubleshoot, scale for traffic peaks & support rollback plans.

Required Skills

• 3+ years frontend development experience, 2+ years with Next.js.
• Strong React.js fundamentals (hooks, state, lifecycle).
• Proven experience with payment gateways.
• Experience with CSS frameworks (Tailwind CSS / Styled Components / SCSS).
• Understanding of SSR, SSG, and API integrations.
• Solid SEO knowledge for Next.js apps.
• Database concepts (MySQL/Postgres) & REST APIs.
• Git, CI/CD, AWS/Cloudflare, and web security practices.
• Core Web Vitals optimization (LCP, INP, CLS).
• Responsive design, accessibility (WCAG).

Nice to Have

• Laravel backend integration.
• Docker/Kubernetes deployments.
• Headless CMS (Sanity, Strapi, Contentful).
• i18n & multi-currency handling (AUD/NZD).
