• The Nanny Edit is representing a first-time family seeking a professional, long-term nanny to care for their baby boy. Their child will be approximately 11 to 12 weeks old at the start of care. This family is looking for a nurturing, experienced infant nanny who values structure, clear communication, and intentional caregiving, and who is excited to grow with their family for many years to come.

The primary responsibility of this role is providing attentive, developmentally appropriate care for their baby throughout the day. He is currently fed a combination of breastfeeding and pumped breast milk, and the family plans to continue with pumped breast milk feeding. The nanny will be responsible for supporting feeding routines, practicing safe sleep at all times, monitoring developmental milestones, and engaging him through age-appropriate play, reading, talking, and meaningful interaction. The family wants him to have opportunities to explore and discover his environment while always being supervised, supported, and kept safe.

In addition to infant care, light household tidying related to daily activities is appreciated, as well as taking the family’s small dog, Bella, on walks with the baby during the day if time allows. The family has a calm, organized home and values a nanny who naturally maintains that same standard.

The nanny must be comfortable working in a household where a parent is sometimes working from home while maintaining professional boundaries and independence.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience caring for infants, is CPR and First Aid certified, up to date on all vaccinations, and has a strong understanding of safe sleep practices, choking hazards, and emergency procedures. Punctuality, reliability, and strong communication skills are essential. The nanny should enjoy providing daily updates, proactively sharing observations, and communicating any concerns clearly and professionally. A love for structure balanced with warmth, patience, and flexibility is highly valued.

This is a long-term position for a nanny who is seeking stability and continuity and hopes to stay with the family through their baby’s early years and potentially future siblings until they reach school age. The nanny must be able to swim and will be required to use her own vehicle while on duty, with mileage reimbursed at the IRS rate.
