About the Family

A warm, loving family in Tenafly,NJ with four children ages 9, 7, 4, and 7 months is seeking a second full-time nanny/housekeeper to join their home. They are not originally from this country, and have left their large and very close extended family behind. The parents' top priority is their children's happiness and care, even while they are focused on long days at work in NYC. In order to ensure that the children have all of the support they need, while also wanting to ensure that they days are not overly demanding, the parents have hired one full time nanny, and are now seeking for a second full time nanny to be part of the team. This is a team-oriented environment with a nanny working from 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM, so collaboration and communication are key.

Role Overview

The day begins with helping the family get organized and out the door for school. Once the older children leave, the focus shifts primarily to caring for the 7-month-old baby, along with maintaining baby-related tasks and light housekeeping during nap times.

In the afternoon, you will work alongside the second nanny, with you providing supporting care of the 4-year-old while the second nanny takes the older children to activities. This role requires someone who is comfortable balancing childcare and household support, while working closely and respectfully with another caregiver.

Responsibilities

• Assist with morning routine and getting children ready for school
• Provide attentive, developmentally appropriate care for the 7-month-old
• Handle all baby-related tasks (feeding, naps, organizing baby items, etc.)
• Perform housekeeping and home organization during the baby’s naps (no deep cleaning required)
• Collaborate with second nanny/housekeeper in a positive, team-oriented way
• Support care of the 4-year-old after school
• Take children to the park and engage them in age-appropriate, stimulating activities
• Help maintain an organized, calm, and well-functioning household

Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years of childcare experience, including infant experience
• Must be a driver with a valid license and clean record
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Warm, engaging, and personable personality
• Comfortable balancing childcare and light housekeeping responsibilities

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
