Full Charge Bookkeeper

Robert Half is currently hiring for a full-time direct-hire Full-Charge Bookkeeper with a client located in Clearwater, FL!


Responsibilities:

  • Perform full-cycle accounts payable functions, including reviewing, coding, entering, and processing vendor invoices while ensuring timely and accurate payments.
  • Manage accounts receivable processes by generating invoices, posting customer payments, reconciling accounts, and following up on outstanding balances as needed.
  • Complete monthly bank reconciliations by comparing internal records to bank statements, researching discrepancies, and ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring all financial data is properly classified and recorded in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Prepare and post journal entries for accruals, adjustments, reclasses, and month-end close activities to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Oversee the month-end close process, including reviewing transactions, reconciling accounts, and closing the books in a timely manner.
  • Assist with creation of reports, comparing actual results to budget and identifying variances for management review.
  • Assist with processing payroll for full-time employees.


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of full-cycle accounting or bookkeeping experience.
  • Good understanding of debits and credits, along with overall accounting principles.
  • QuickBooks software experience highly preferred.
  • Ability to multitask and balance multiple accountings tasks.
  • Excellent communication and follow up skills.
