Full Charge Bookkeeper

Pay: $25 – $35/hour
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:00pm
Occasional Saturdays: 7:00am–12:00pm

Everguard Materials is a growing fence supply company serving contractors and homeowners across the Seattle area. We focus on delivering reliable materials, fast service, and strong relationships with our customers.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and dependable individual to take ownership of our day-to-day accounting operations while supporting light administrative functions.

Role Overview

This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring all transactions flow correctly into the general ledger.

You will own Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and reconciliation processes — helping ensure our financials are clean, accurate, and up to date.

This is not just data entry — this role requires attention to detail, problem-solving, and accountability.

Key Responsibilities Accounting (Primary Focus)

General Ledger & Reconciliation

  • Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and transferred into QuickBooks
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and POS system data
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies between systems

Accounts Payable (AP)

  • Enter and process vendor invoices
  • Match purchase orders to invoices and receipts
  • Maintain accurate vendor records and ensure timely payments

Accounts Receivable (AR)

  • Generate and send customer invoices
  • Track incoming payments and apply them correctly
  • Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances

Financial Accuracy

  • Assist in maintaining clean and accurate financial records
  • Support monthly reporting (P&L, Balance Sheet, etc.)
  • Flag errors, inconsistencies, or unusual activity

Administrative (Secondary Support)

  • Maintain organized digital and physical records
  • Assist with onboarding paperwork and internal documentation
  • Support communication between office, sales, and yard teams
  • Handle general office tasks as needed

Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or similar role
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to stay organized
  • Experience with QuickBooks (or similar accounting software)
  • Comfortable working with Excel
  • Ability to take ownership and work independently

Bonus:

  • Experience in construction, distribution, or building materials
  • Familiarity with Spruce POS or similar systems

What Success Looks Like

  • Financial records are accurate and up to date
  • AP and AR are consistently managed without delays
  • Discrepancies are identified and resolved quickly
  • Systems (POS → QuickBooks) are aligned and reliable
