Job Title: Full-Charge Bookkeeper / Accountant

Location: West 28th Street / Penn Station
Job Type: Full-Time, in office (no remote, no hybrid)
Compensation: up to $75,000/year depending on experience.

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Full-Charge Bookkeeper / Accountant reporting to the Controller to join our growing team. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, maintains high accuracy, and builds efficient financial systems to support growth.

Must have:

- Experience and understanding of GAAP

- Experience and understanding of Accounts Payables (full cycle), Accounts Receivables (full cycle) and how transactions affect the P&L and Balance Sheet.

- Experience and understanding of debits/credits and journal entries and how they affect the financial statements.

- Experience and understanding of the relationship between sales, revenue, assets and liabilities.

- Experience and understanding of the monthly close process.

- Experience of building spreadsheet (Excel of Google Sheet).

- Experience using complex spreadsheet (Excel of Google Sheet).

- Experience with QuickBooks and understanding of its functionality.

- Experience and understanding of bank reconciliation, credit cards reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation.

- Understanding of financial reports.

- Dependable, punctual, reliable, able to focus on the task at hand, organized, process oriented, committed to a career in accounting/finance, self-learner always looking to improve their skills, team player, critical thinking skills.

- Experience using ChatGPT/Claude within the accounting/finance workflow.

- Excellent communication skills.

- US Citizen (no sponsorship).

Nice to have:

- Experience in the construction industry.

- Experience with multi-entities / intercompany accounting.

- Advanced spreadsheet (Excel or Google Sheet) skills.

- Advanced AI tools skills.
