Full Time Nanny for UWS, NY

Full Time French speaking Nanny required for a UWS family with two children (son b. 2022 and daughter b. 2024), starting in the Spring (family is flexible +/- for the right candidate). Specific duties to be negotiated with the family, but in general, you will be responsible for all child related duties including providing nurturing care and interacting with their children in an engaging, safe and age-appropriate way. To be successful, you will need to be reliable, structured and look to partner with a busy, dual working parent family who value mutual respect and good communication. A proactive and independent individual who can show initiative around the home is essential (family does employ a biweekly housekeeper). A candidate who is outdoorsy, active and engaging would be a great match for this family!

Both parents work long hours outside of the home - the ideal candidate has energy and proven experience for long days, including flexibility with overall schedule and willingness to chip in and support the smooth running of the home. The family is looking for a long term commitment with a candidate who feels like a natural extension of their family and who will be welcomed into a warm and loving home! French fluency is a requirement for this role - son currently attends French immersion pre school and daughter will be enrolled next year. Candidates should be comfortable communicating with children in both languages (Dad also speaks French!).

Location: UWS, NY

Start date: Spring, 2026 (family does have flexibility with the start date)

Days/times: Guaranteed 50 hrs a week (open to guaranteed 55 hrs a week for the right candidate) - Monday through Friday with general hours expected to land between 8.00am to 6.30pm. Some flexibility for additional hours during the week is preferred. Candidates comfortable traveling with the family for vacations would be ideal.

Children: Two - One son (born 2022), one daughter (born 2024)

Conditions: $32 - $37/hr plus weekly OMNY, sick/personal days, public holidays and at least two weeks paid leave per year. Family open to providing healthcare stipend for the perfect candidate.

• Authorization to work in the US
• Fluent in both written and spoken English and French
• Minimum 3-5 years experience working with families with toddlers and young children
• A well-suited demeanor + recent experience supporting busy families.
• Exceptional childcare references that attest to strong communication skills, reliability, punctuality, and high emotional intelligence
• Ability to complete light housekeeping duties (child related laundry, meal preparation, organization, etc) and maintain all common areas in a clean and tidy state
• Experience in partnering + supporting parents with toddler and school age milestones
• Education or equivalent practical knowledge of ages and stages of child growth and development
• Comfortable with dogs - family has a small, loveable + friendly Cavapoo. Occasional walks and feeding are expected (when regular dog walker is not available)
