Responsibilities
- Develop and implement innovative, age-appropriate curricula that align with early childhood education standards and incorporate literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods.
- Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that promotes positive behavior management and supports children’s social-emotional development.
- Plan and execute engaging lessons tailored to diverse learning styles, including special education needs and early intervention strategies.
- Foster effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues to support child welfare and ensure a collaborative approach to education.
- Utilize classroom management techniques to maintain an organized learning space conducive to active participation and exploration.
- Conduct assessments using standardized testing where applicable to monitor progress and inform instruction.
- Support children’s physical development through activities like teaching physical education and toddler care routines while ensuring their overall well-being in a daycare or preschool setting.
Experience
- Prior classroom experience in preschool or early childhood education settings is preferred but not required ; experience in private schools is a plus.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management tailored for young children.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and special education accommodations.
- Familiarity with Montessori methods or other specialized educational approaches is desirable.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members.
- Experience working with students requiring early intervention or additional support is advantageous.
- Proven ability to create an inclusive environment that promotes child welfare and fosters a love of learning from toddlerhood through preschool years.
