Fulltime Lead Trailer Mechanic - Mon-Fri - Healthcare & Pay NEGOTIABLE

Seeking a hands-on Working Trailer Mechanic Foreman to help lead trailer shop operations while actively working alongside the team. This position will pay between $25-$32 dollars per hour and is responsible for handling trailer inspections, assisting with scheduling and shop workflow, trailer mechanic assignments, monitoring repair quality, and helping keep repairs moving efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Perform trailer repairs, maintenance, and DOT inspections
• Conduct trailer pre-inspections and identify repair needs
• Assist with daily scheduling and shop workflow coordination
• Assign work tasks to trailer mechanics
• Monitor repair progress and maintain productivity
• Perform quality control checks on completed repairs
• Ensure repairs meet DOT and company standards
• Assist mechanics with troubleshooting and technical support
• Verify proper work order documentation and labor tracking
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment

Qualifications

• 2 years trailer repair experience required
• 2 years leadership experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of trailer brakes, suspension, lighting, air systems, and DOT inspections
• Ability to multitask and manage workflow in a fast-paced environment
• Must be familiar with computer technology.
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Welding/fabrication experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred but not required
• Able to work outdoors
