Functional Consultant - Accounts and Finance

The Accounts & Finance Software Support Executive will provide technical and functional support to clients using our finance and accounting modules. This role ensures smooth software operations, resolves user issues, and guides clients on best practices related to financial workflows. The ideal candidate should have strong accounting knowledge and hands-on experience with finance-related software.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first-level and second-level support for accounting and finance modules of the software.
• Troubleshoot issues related to accounts, financial entries, reports, and system errors.
• Guide users on correct accounting practices within the software (Chart of Accounts, Journals, Payables, Receivables, etc.).
• Assist clients in resolving issues related to vouchers, ledgers, bank reconciliation, payroll entries, and financial reports.
• Coordinate with the development team for bugs, enhancements, or complex technical issues.
• Conduct user training sessions on accounting modules and new features.
• Document user issues, resolutions, and maintain support logs.
• Test new features, financial workflows, and updates before deployment.
• Ensure timely follow-ups and closure of assigned support tickets.
• Help clients understand best practices for month-end and year-end financial closings.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles (e.g., ledgers, journals, trial balance, P&L, balance sheet).
• Experience working with ERP systems or accounting software.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
