Functional QA - POS

Key Responsibilities:

• 
  Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing of POS applications.

• 
  Validate POS transactions including cash, card, UPI, refunds, discounts, promotions, and loyalty programs.

• 
  Verify hardware and peripheral integrations (receipt printers, scanners, cash drawers, payment terminals).

• 
  Write, review, and execute detailed test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios.

• 
  Log defects, track them to closure, and provide clear defect reports with reproduction steps.

• 
  Work closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners to understand requirements and acceptance criteria.

• 
  Perform UAT support and production validation during new POS releases.

• 
  Ensure compliance with QA processes, standards, and best practices.

Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 
  5+ years of experience in Functional QA with a focus on POS testing.

• 
  Strong knowledge of retail POS systems, transactions, and workflows.

• 
  Experience in manual testing (automation knowledge is a plus).

• 
  Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• 
  Strong defect management skills using tools like JIRA, ALM, or similar.

• 
  Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• 
  Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment with tight deadlines.

Good to Have:

• 
  Exposure to test automation tools (Selenium, Appium, or similar).

• 
  Experience in testing mobile POS (mPOS) applications.

• 
  Knowledge of payment gateways and third-party integrations.
